DC Isolator Failures — A Known Problem
DC isolators — the switches on your roof and at the inverter that isolate the solar array — have been subject to widespread failure and recall across many early installations. A failed DC isolator is a fire risk. If your system is more than 5 years old and has never had its isolators inspected, this is worth checking. We identify faulty or outdated isolators and replace them to current standard.
